Answers to FAQ’s:
- There are only two rules for care of your wood vessel.
1) do not get the vessel wet.
2) dust if needed. (OK, rule 2 is optional).
- All vessels are made by the artist, one at a time, start to finish.Â
- All wood is natural color, except for the black ones. Black vessels are either dyed or charred.
- Bowls are food safe, but the finish will change if used for serving anything with moisture.
- If a bowl is used for salad, wipe out with a damp sponge and dry immediately. In this application the bowl will acquire a patina of use.Â
- Each vessel is signed and numbered. The base of each vessel is engraved with the artist’s signature, a unique serial number, the wood type(s), and the year made. Engraving is best observed with bright light and/or low angle illumination.
- The finish on almost every bowl and vessel is multiple coats of a polyurethane varnish followed by a hand buffed paste wax top coat.
- No live trees were cut down to make these vessels.Â
