Czashka Ross, Dingmans Ferry, PA
Czashka Ross has been a mixed media artist for over 45 years. Born in Canada, Czashka studied art at Syracuse University and went on to obtain her Masters of Fine Arts from The Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI. During her time there, she taught at Purdue University and received a National Endowment for the Arts Apprenticeship for papermaking at Twinrocker Handmade Paper Mill in Brookston, IN. After Cranbrook, Czashka was granted a post-graduate fellowship researching traditional, western-style hand papermaking in seven European countries. Czashka studied the new technique of clay monoprinting under Mitch Lyons, its master originator. It is a process of using cutting, drawing, painting, inversion and/or other methods before repeatedly printing onto a synthetic, non-woven substrate. Also featured below are Czashka’s most recent oil paintings and watercolors. Her mixed media work has been featured in solo shows and dozens of galleries worldwide.
