Abra Gorby – PA I have been making jewelry since 1988. I started to sell my jewelry to friends in Summit High School, then I continued developing my work and selling throughout Vassar College. While living in NYC, I took classes at RISD and at FIT at night, and on the weekends, I sold my work at street fairs and craft shows. Stylish women sought me out and purchased my work wherever they could. Eventually, I began selling to stores and galleries, and many fashion mags and celebrities started to embrace my unusual and dramatic aesthetic. In 2009, I opened my studio/store in the heart of Bucks Country, PA. My hobbies include hand-stitched applique quilting, organic gardening, and raising goldfish for our greenhouse pond.
I am inspired by the gorgeous colors and forms of nature that surround my studio. Every season is reflected in my work. The river stones and sea glass shapes also are seen in the shapes of my work.
