Aimee Mower Lally – NJ Clay smells like home to me. My father was a ceramics professor, and I grew up working in his studio. I still work on his wheel to honor and connect with him. From the ancient and humble material of clay I explore forms that reflect parts of my experience in the world. I graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a master in sculpture. I exhibited work in NYC and Chicago galleries and supported myself teaching for cultural institutions such as the Guggenheim Museum. I now reside in Maplewood NJ, and teach art out of my home studio. The different phases of my work reflect my thirst for growth and evolution.
