Original, one-of-a-kind hand-burned sleeping fawn on a live-edge basswood plaque with colored pencil background and highlights. Free-standing piece mounted on a natural poplar base. Recommend to display away from direct sunlight. Sealed with a gloss UV acrylic finish. Indoor use only. This piece measures 10 7/8” x 5 ½” x 2 ½”.

Carrie LaDuke is a self-taught pyrography (woodburning) artist from Sparta, NJ. Starting with wood boxes about 20 years ago, she has expanded her mediums in recent years to include live-edge wood plaques, paper and leather. Each piece is created by hand and she draws most of her inspiration from local wildlife with a focus on realism.
